Repairs and Returns

RGA (Return Goods Authroization)

ProMinent’s RGA (Return Goods Authorization) process is utilized for Credit Returns as well as for Warranty & Non-warranty repairs.

Please note that all returning products must have a completed “Contaminant-Free Certificate” attached to the exterior of the shipping container. The RGA Number must also be clearly marked on the exterior of the shipping container. If these are not on the exterior of shipping container, your shipment will be returned to you, freight-collect.

To request and RGA, please give is a call at 1-412-787-2484.

Please share with us the product’s name, model and serial number as well as a description of problem and your contact information. Please retain records of the issued RGA numbers so that you can communicate effectively with us.

Request for Credit Return

An RGA request for Credit must be made within 60 days of the PFC invoice date.

Please note that the following stipulations must be observed

  • The returning product must not have been used and/or installed in an operational environment.
  • All products that are returned for credit, must be new and in a resaleable/restockable condition.
  • The returning product must be in its original packaging. When appropriate, an over-box is to be utilized to protect the product’s original product packaging. All associated parts on the returning product’s Bill of Material must be included in the return shipment – nothing should be missing.
  • Restocking fees apply.
  • Certain items such as glass probes, buffer solutions, items that have a shelf life etc., no credit will be issued. All custom equipment and/or special-order items are non-refundable.
  • We reserve the right to pass on all related charges received from our suppliers for all cancellations or credit returns.

If these conditions are not met, the product will be returned to you and no credit or replacement order will be issued.

Warranty/Non-Warranty Repair

  • Our Technical staff will determine if the repair is warranty or non-warranty by examining the condition of the product and by determining the warranty period information.The product will be rejected if it is found to be contaminated.
  • Repair turn-around time varies based on our in-house backlog as well as parts availability.
  • The repair estimates are provided by our Inside Sales Team. The estimate provides the appropriate information regarding the required repair parts & labor. Repair estimates do not include any type failure analysis.
